stormy night

Run for your crumb-lovin lives!!

If I made a short film today, that's what it would be called. Plot: The ants in my kitchen and their teeny tiny yet fierce battle for survival in linoleum jungles full of gargantuan beings thundering every which way in their own struggle for survival (i.e. eating bowls of life-threateningly stale Aldi cheerios and attempting to cook anything in a kitchen which has zero counter space (where the top of the microwave becomes a viable cutting board)).

Cornerstone was a blast. I love camping, and taking long walks that start at 1:30 am in the misty night after punkrock shows(cause who can do that on the west side?).

I love sitting around and talking with best friends about life--freedom, grace, disappointments, fears and blessings.

I love surprising gifts from God, which include but are in no way limited to: pirate praise music; playing cards; watching volleyball; elephant ears; pimp legs; impressions of the Godfather; henna tatoos; visits from NCF familyfriends to our campsite; the unicorn boy in the trailer park. Oh, and I almost forgot, music and art and people watching.

This is Neil's photo of some of the thought-provoking artwork.
And camping with rock stars. Wait a minute, is that....

I got an earplug stuck in my ear and started talking too loud to my campmates. "CHICKENS? Um, no....Tippins." That's something. Don't worry, the doctor in the first aid trailer fished it out and my ears are pretty clean, which impressed me. And you didn't need to know.

Some pics are here in the Cornerstone 2006 album. I can't take credit; most of the photos are courtesy of Dassler, as I was not really in a photo-taking mood.

Watch Sophie Scholl, an excellent film. It'll make you wanna do something drastic for this broken world. Let's go, kids.

Summer is half over. Better git your asteriskes to a park, run through a sprinkler, watch the fireflies and eat some ice cream for goodness sake.
