This is cool. A friend at work passed along this bluegrass Led Zeppelin tribute and it is very summer road trip music-y. Give "Going to California" a try.
Gosh. This is lovely. Haven't seen the movie yet...not sure if I want to delve into what heard described as "realistic romance"...wait... who am I kidding? Of course I do. Scrum-diddly-umptious music: "Gold" and "The Hill"...
Updates:
Completely enrolled in seminary.
Starting classes end of August.
Quite excited to already be part of a study group called "ANT" or maybe "TAN" or maybe "GNAT".
Having minor hourly freakouts about financing said education.
Bizarrely addicted to Facebook now. Really. This has to stop. But it's so fun!
Happy to be in St. Louis for some hot humid days.
Missing out on the Heirendt & Wise Family reunions.
Praying for my friends & Jess at the WMF staff retreat these next 10 days.
Meditations, prayers for friends (oops...forgot to mention the prayers are written by other people...both are from a prayer book (i'm not trying to plagarize! oops!!):

Wow... I didn't know you were thinking about going back to school! Yowza, how exciting! What are you planning to study at the seminary?
I love the art/collage/journaling!
ooh please let the study group be called GNAT! i also think the art/collage/journaling thing is amazing.
renae, yeah, it's exciting! i'm a nerd, and proud of it most of the time. i'm going to do the MATS with an emphasis in counseling.
claire & heidi, thanks! but i forgot to mention (gah, i'm a chump) that the prayers are from a collection of prayers (the authors are on the backs of the pages, but i no longer have the pages in hand, so i forgot who wrote them. gah.).
Once was an amazing movie. I hope you get a chance to see it and I hope you enjoy it as much as Michele and I did.
ange...remember me? i see that you're studying theology with an emphasis in counseling and sounds a lot like a friend of mine. well, actually, me, and a lot of friends of mine...
i'm happy for you. would love to hear more of why if ever you get a chance.

don't forget to invite me to your facebook....
Speaking as the "N" of GNAT or TAN or ANT, I am voting for GNAT, too. Even though the thought of someone seeking role models for studying being told to "Go to the ANT thou sluggard," referring to our group, is an appealing vision, I am desperately fearful at failing to keep up my end of the bargain :)Plus "G" could stand for, you know, God. I surely want him in the group.
The collages are very nice, by the way.
where are you studying? i'm heading in a very similar direction surprisingly enough. let's chat soon.
